
Title: The masthead of the magazine 'Q' is a recognizable logo which audience are aware of and have seen many times. It has been placed at the top left corner in a bright red box which attracts the customers. The masthead follows an effective color scheme including; red,white and blank which allows customers to instantly distinguish that its a Q magazine as these are the colors which are associated with their magazine. This color scheme is used trough out the whole magazine allowing it to look professional and not become to over loaded with colors as well as showing that the magazine has been planned to follow a theme.
Subheading: The subheading 'feature' helps the audience know where the information about each page is placed. The color red has been used again as the background allowing this area to stand out in addition to follow the color scheme. White has also been used for the writing in order for it easily be red, as well as allowing the writing to stand out.
Sub images: The sub images give a preview to the customer of what to expect to find within the magazine as well as showing who will be included within each article. Easy recognizable artist are used in order for the audience to easily establish who the page is about without any confusion and also makes the viewer want to read on to that specific page, as it might include information about and artist they are particularly interested in. Within this contents page it includes an mid shot of 4 band members looking directly at the audience, in addition to an image of an artist smiling besides drums suggesting that music makes him happy. The images give a friendly and warm feeling and make you want to get to know the people within the sub images.
Captions: Gives a simple preview of what is found in each article. It is written in black font allowing it to be easy for the viewer to read and decide what page interests them, its also straight to the point as it can not confuse the reader.
Main image: The main image is an extreme close up shot of a recognizable model (Lana Del Rey) the fact thats its so close gives the viewer a sense of closeness and attachment to her, as you tend to not see her in such a close shot. The image is bloody and could be considered to be associated with danger and anger. However her facial expression looks innocent and calm. Lana is looking directly at the audience enticing them to go on and read about her to understand why she has blood on her adding a sense of mystery.
Selling lines: The selling lines are what makes the reader want to read and buy the magazine. It is placed underneath the title and reads ' Great music' suggesting that you'll only find the best music, artist and bands within the magazine. Which is a selling point, as it attracts the audience and makes them want to read on.
Page numbers:The page numbers are fitted to fit the image. Therefore they very depending on how big or small the image is . The variation of sizes used adds interest to the page and allows the page to overly look more attractive and eye catching. All the page numbers are in white bold numbers inside a bright red box catching the viewers attention as well as following the color scheme used in the magazine.
