Stormzy
Micheal Omari also known as his stage name 'Stormzy' is a London-based MC with Ghanaian heritage. He was born on the 26th of July 1993 in Thornton Heath (South London). He launched his career clashing at youth clubs at the age of 11 around his hometown with older mcs and describes himself as a "child of grime" being influenced by Wiley (Godfather of Grime) and Skepta .
In late 2013 he released his "Wicked Skengman" series of freestyles over classic grime beats which allowed him to become a recognizable grime artist within the UK.
In 2014 he independently released his debut EP 'Dreamers Diseases'.
He then went on to win a MOBO award in 2014 for ' Best Grime Act' and one in 2015 for 'Best Male Act'.
